The Challenge
Following the setup of their new Google Cloud environment, Windmill Microlending needed to create data pipelines to ingest data from multiple sources, including CSV files and a third-party externally managed SQL Server, into their new BigQuery data warehouse. Their team required the skills to build and manage these pipelines.
The Solution
StrataPrime implemented a solution using DataStream for real-time data ingestion from an external third-party managed SQL Server into BigQuery. This was supplemented with a series of hands-on workshops that covered BigQuery best practices, importing CSVs, creating materialized views, setting up data security and permissions, and monitoring the pipelines.
The Result
StrataPrime established the foundational data pipelines and a Data Warehouse for Windmill Microlending. This project empowered the Windmill team with the necessary tools and knowledge to ingest data into BigQuery and manage their datasets securely and efficiently, enabling them to move forward with their data analytics goals.
