Paul Melnyk Founder, President & CEO

Zero day threats affecting the Google Chrome browser have been increasing in frequency as bad actors ramp up their nefarious activities. Google Chrome browser has a great reputation for being secure, but no browser platform is immune from threats. Actively managing your organization’s Chrome browser updates is a mitigation strategy that should be in every Chrome administrator’s toolkit.

Google provides detailed instructions on how to manage Chrome updates for macOS, Windows, or Linux. The steps may vary depending on how you are currently managing your Chrome browser and/or devices today. We have included the appropriate links below.

An even better solution is to enroll the Chrome browser for cloud management and use the Workspace admin console to manage the updates.

Google recommends automatically updating the Chrome browser and keeping the users locked to the stable release channel (with appropriate exceptions). Here are some additional links that you may find helpful.
